Mohan V Raman (born Pattabhi Venkata Raman on April 3, 1956) is an Indian film and Television actor and Management Trainer. He is acclaimed for playing supportive roles in Tamil Films and television serials. He is the eldest son of Senior Advocate (Late) V. P. Raman , former Additional Solicitor General of India and Advocate General of Tamil Nadu.

Mohan Raman did his B.Sc. in Physics from Loyola College, Chennai after completing his Primary Schooling in Vidya Mandir and high school in Madras Christian College School.

He obtained an MBA (Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management) from XLRI, Jamshedpur one of India’s premiere Management Schools – specializing in Marketing and Human Relations.

After a stint in the corporate sector, marketing consumer goods both Retail and Institutional supplies he set up a light engineering unit with Danish technology to manufacture and supply LPG Valves. He also started and managed a travel agency and communication center. After his stint as a Manager and  an entrepreneur, he entered the Entertainment Industry.

He is today one of  the Film and Television’s popular character actors. He has done over 120 films and 5000 TV serial episodes and therefore appeared in a wide range of roles -from comedian to a villain. He has also compered several Stage shows both in India and abroad and performed in several Advertisement films.

He draws from his knowledge of acting and his own performances as well as those of famous actors from Hollywood, Bollywood and Kollywood (Tamil) to highlight various Management concepts and Behavioral Patterns. Using Films to get across Communication skills, enhance personal effectiveness, inculcate Team Spirit, working together, goal setting and improve Leadership skills is his unique manner of Training.

He has conducted programs both on site and off site  in English and Tamil for a wide variety of companies NBFCs  , Multi National Banks like Standard Chartered ( and SCOPE International), HDFC  and HSBC, Manufacturing  Organizations like  L and T , AUDCO, Celebrity Garments, Loyal Textile Mills , Greaves Cotton ,Dalmia Cements,  I.T.E. and  Service Industries like  CAMS, Java Green( Reliance), Murugappa Group , Public Sector Undertakings like the Tamil Nadu Road Development Corporation , Educational institutions like the Tamil Nadu Judicial Academy , National Institute of Personnel Management,  Indian Society for Training and Development , Thyagarajar School of Management-Madurai , Pearl Academy of Fashion Design, Kongu College of Arts and NGO’s like Round Table India, NIPM.

He is a Popular Speaker and has addressed several Clubs and Societies.His other interests include Reading, Music, Cricket, Philately and watching movies. He is a member of the Madras Gymkhana Club, The Madras Cricket Club and the Rotary Club of Madras.He is also a member of the South Indian Artistes Association and other professional bodies of the Film and TV Industry.
