Today was the day acting was born…yes, today , the 1st Oct was the birthday of Sivaji Ganesan,the great Thespian.
Every year to mark his passing away , the family of Sivaji , through the Sivaji Prabhu Charities trust honours in association with the Postal department by issuing a Special Cover and Cancellation. This cancellation is unique and after a Postage Stamp this is the next highest thing the department does to honour achievers and achievements.

Truly remarkable function with Vairamuthu and actor Sivakumar speaking and Kalaignar Karunanidhi the chief Guest…..Y.G.Mahendra and yours truly were the comperes of the function held at Anna Arivaalayam to a capacity crowd…not even Standing Room…
